Google Ads Expert in Indore

Of the Madhya Pradesh cities I work in, Indore has the busiest Google Ads auctions, and I work here with businesses that sell beyond the city: tour operators, online stores and B2B suppliers. For Zig-Zag Tours & Travels, an Indore travel company, my agency tripled verified tour enquiries in 45 days while cutting acquisition cost by 42%. If you already spend on ads, send me read-only access and I'll show you where the money leaks.

Zig-Zag Tours & Travels: what changed in 45 days

This is the clearest Google Ads-only result my agency has published, and it comes from Indore.

Travel and tour packages · Indore (and pan-India) · 45 days

Zig-Zag Tours & Travels

Before: Clicks were expensive and the landing pages converted very few of them into tour bookings.

What we did: Rebuilt the landing page UI and UX around package details and enquiry, tightened Search bidding, and ran a full negative keyword audit to strip out researchers and job seekers.

After: Verified tour enquiries tripled and Google Ads acquisition cost fell by 42%.

3.4x ROAS

A Google Ads-led project; the landing page redesign was part of the same work.

The Indore auction

Why Indore costs more per click than the rest of MP

In my accounts, Indore keywords show longer competitor lists in Auction Insights than the same keywords in other MP cities, so the gap between a tidy account and a lazy one shows up quickly in cost per lead. The city is often described as the financial capital of Madhya Pradesh, and it attracts national brands, aggregators and well-funded local firms into the same auctions.

The commercial map explains a lot. Vijay Nagar holds corporate offices, including Accenture's; IT development centres sit along the Super Corridor; Crystal IT Park adds more. Pithampur, close by, is called the "Detroit of Madhya Pradesh" for its automotive and manufacturing units, which keeps B2B search for parts, packaging and logistics busy. Indore has both an IIT (at Simrol) and an IIM, and Bhanwarkuan, near the Takshashila campus of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, is crowded with student housing and coaching institutes. Food runs through Sarafa's night market and the Chappan Dukan street. The airport adds a steady flow of business travellers.

For an advertiser, that means three things: education keywords are among the most contested, B2B keywords have low volume but high value, and consumer searches are more likely to be in English and to include comparison words such as "price", "package" or "near Vijay Nagar" than in Sagar or Damoh.

Searches I plan for in Indore

  • "indore se kedarnath package", "manali tour from indore": outbound travel searches with the departure city in the query
  • "corrugated box manufacturer pithampur": B2B queries that convert into quote requests
  • "bhanwarkuan pg for girls", "ipmat coaching indore fees": student-belt searches with heavy competition
  • "buy kurti online" from Indore sellers whose buyers are anywhere in India
Campaign choices

Search, Shopping or Performance Max: how I decide

In Indore I'm often asked to "just run PMax". Sometimes that's right. Often it isn't. The choice depends on what you sell and how good your conversion data is.

Travel operators

Search first. Package searches carry intent in the words themselves (destination, nights, departure city), and I want to see and control them. Location targeting here is the exception to my usual rule: for travel, Google's Presence or interest option makes sense, because people plan trips to places they are not in. I keep separate campaigns for each destination season so peak months don't starve the rest.

Ecommerce stores

Standard Shopping or PMax, fed by a clean Merchant Center feed. Most of the gain comes from the feed: product titles that match how people search, correct GTINs or brand fields, accurate stock and price. In PMax I separate asset groups by product category and margin, add brand exclusions so it does not take credit for people already searching your name, and review search term insights and placement reports monthly.

B2B manufacturers and traders

Search only, with exact and phrase match, long product-spec keywords and a quote-request form that asks for quantity. Volume is low, so I import offline conversions for quotes that become orders. Without that, Google optimises toward form fills from students and job hunters.

On a busy Indore auction, the landing page often decides profit more than the bid does. Zig-Zag's cost per acquisition fell largely because more of the same clicks turned into enquiries once the page showed itinerary, price basis and a quick enquiry form above the fold.

Indore pricing

Management fees for Indore campaigns

Indore accounts often run Shopping or Performance Max alongside Search, so both bands are listed. Ad spend goes from your card to Google, never through me.

ItemPriceNotes
Google Shopping / Performance Max management (stores)₹12,000 – ₹25,000 / monthIncludes feed checks and asset group work
Google Search management (travel, B2B, services)₹8,000 – ₹20,000 / monthHigher end for many destinations or product lines
Ad landing page built for conversion₹8,000 – ₹18,000 one-timeThe lever that mattered most for Zig-Zag
GTM tracking and enhanced conversions₹4,000 – ₹8,000 one-timePurchases, enquiries and calls

Indore click costs are higher than in smaller MP cities, so I agree a realistic test budget with you after the audit, not before.

Operating rhythm

A month in an Indore account

  1. Step 1 · Week 1

    Diagnosis

Read-only audit: conversion actions, search terms over the last 90 days, auction insights against the competitors you name, feed health for stores, and landing page speed on mobile.

  2. Step 2 · Week 1–2

    Tracking repair

Primary conversions reduced to the ones that matter: enquiries, calls over a set length, purchases with value. Enhanced conversions where the form allows.

  3. Step 3 · Week 2–3

    Restructure

Campaigns split by product line or destination, negative keyword lists shared across them, ad schedule set to when your sales team replies.

  4. Step 4 · Week 4 onward

    Bid strategy

Target CPA or target ROAS only once conversion volume is steady; until then, controlled manual or Maximise conversions with a cap.

  5. Step 5 · Every month

    Monthly review

Cost per lead or ROAS against the target we agreed, what I changed, and what I plan next. No vanity numbers.

Honest fit check

Indore businesses I'm probably not right for

  • Stores with thousands of SKUs that need a dedicated feed-management platform and a full-time team.
  • Advertisers who want PMax switched on and left alone without feed or tracking work.
  • Businesses needing someone in their Indore office every week; I work remotely.
  • Anyone expecting Zig-Zag's numbers to repeat automatically. They came from a specific account and its fixes.
