Free Local SEO Audit for One Business Location

If customers find you on Google Maps, this audit tells you why you show up in some parts of your city and not others. I review your Google Business Profile, categories, reviews, your listings on Justdial, Sulekha and IndiaMART, and your location page, then check map-pack positions across a grid of points in one city. It is a manual review, and the written findings reach you within 3 working days. Send me your Google Maps link to start.

Scope

Your Maps presence, not your whole website

The free SEO audit covers your website: technical health, on-page structure and backlinks. This audit is about the other place local customers find you, the map pack, and the signals behind it. I only open your website to look at the one page your profile links to.

If you want to try it yourself first, my local SEO audit checklist lists the steps. The difference here is that I do the checking, add the grid scan and compare you with the three businesses Google currently prefers.

Your input

What to send me

  • Google Maps link to your business (open your listing on Maps, tap Share, copy the link).
  • The city you want to be found in. One city per audit.
  • Three phrases customers search, for example "dentist near me", "best dental clinic" or "dant ka doctor". Hinglish phrases are welcome.
  • Your exact business name, address and phone as you want them shown everywhere.
  • Old phone numbers or addresses, if you have moved or changed numbers.

Form fields: name, Google Maps link, city, three search phrases, current phone, old numbers or addresses, WhatsApp number. I do not need manager access to your profile.

Checklist

What I check, item by item

Google Business Profile

  • Primary category against the three businesses that hold the map pack, and missing secondary categories
  • Business name: keyword stuffing that risks suspension, or a name that does not match your signboard
  • Services, description, hours, holiday hours, photos and recent posts
  • Service area or address setting, against Google's rule that a service area stays within about two hours' drive

Reviews

  • Review count and how recent your newest reviews are, against the top three
  • Whether you reply to reviews, including the negative ones
  • Words customers use in reviews that match the phrases you want to rank for

Citations and NAP consistency

  • Name, address and phone on Justdial, Sulekha, IndiaMART, Facebook and Bing Places
  • Duplicate listings, old numbers and closed branches still showing
  • A mismatch table showing what each site says against the version you want

Location page

  • Does the page your profile links to name your city and area, your services and your phone in plain text
  • Is there a map embed, LocalBusiness schema and a clear call or WhatsApp button
  • If you serve several towns, whether separate local landing pages make sense
Grid check

How the map-pack grid check works

Map results depend on where the searcher is standing. A clinic can be first for someone across the road and invisible two kilometres away. So I place a 5 by 5 grid of 25 points over your city and record your map-pack position at each point for each of your three phrases.

The result is a simple table per phrase: where you are in the top three, where you are on the list but lower, and where you do not appear. It shows whether your problem is distance, relevance or prominence, which are the three factors Google names for local ranking, and that decides the fix.

One city per free audit. If you need several branches or cities checked, tell me and I will say honestly whether it is a paid job.

Proof

A dental clinic that moved from page 3 into the Maps 3-Pack

The first step with Century Smile was the same set of checks described above.

Dental clinic · Sagar · 60 days

Century Smile Dental Clinic

Before: Ranked on page 3 for local dentist searches, with minimal Google Maps calls

What we did: Google Business Profile optimisation, schema graph, local map pack optimisation and dental call-extension ads

After: Ranked #1 in the Google Maps 3-Pack for Sagar dental terms within 60 days

+68% verified patient appointments

This was a paid local SEO engagement. The free audit diagnoses; it does not make the changes.

Honest fit check

When this audit will not help

  • Businesses without a Google Business Profile yet. Start with Google Business Profile setup and optimisation.
  • Online-only businesses with no address or service area. The map pack is not your channel.
  • Anyone wanting to rank on Maps in a city where they have no address or service area. Google does not allow it, and I will not suggest a virtual office.
  • Multi-branch chains needing every location audited at once.
